My Minnesota Mission
Certified Aroma Freedom Technique Practitioner, Instructor & Coach
Have you ever been to Minnesota? Up until a few days ago, I had not. I’m a Texas gal…born and raised. Dallas, Texas at that, and we’re a special kind of Texan with a good balance of city life and down-home hospitality. I am not a fan of freezing temps, so the sub-zero weather was a shocker for me. In addition to the biting cold, my journey was to take me out of the “cities” and into the land of farmers and ice fishing houses (imagine the film Grumpy Old Men). “What on earth am I going to do in Minnesota?! How will I survive?!” Actually…my mission was clear. I was invited to do a job and no fear of frostbite was going to stop me.
“It’s some of the most rewarding “work” I’ve ever engaged in and the most life-changing for all involved.”
Half a dozen kind, compassionate, intuitive individuals chose to follow a path to become a Certified Aroma Freedom Technique (AFT) Practitioner. As their instructor and mentor, it was my job to lead them through eight modules of intensive AFT education in just two days. Two days of listening, learning, practicing, experiencing and sharing. Spending two full days in a room with folks talking psychology, aromatherapy, the brain, essential oils, and intuition is exhausting, in a good way. It’s some of the most rewarding “work” I’ve ever engaged in and the most life-changing for all involved. You get to know each other very quickly and appreciate the common threads and differences that brought you together.
BEYOND THE COLD
You don’t really know what to expect after an experience like this. And every group I teach is unique. But in the end, we all stand on common ground – we are on this journey together to help others (and ourselves) to feel empowered and more confident to live the life of our dreams. In the weeks to follow, we’ll have online meetings, I’ll share some tips and tricks, they’ll ask a plethora of questions, we’ll give helpful criticism and plenty of praise. They’ll be in the frigid cold and I’ll be in milder North Texas area. The weather in Minnesota may have been a shocker, but the warmth and kindness they so willingly share lived up to the state’s reputation. I am honored and excited to see how my new students and friends spread more of that warmth across the world!
